Able Child had an amazing team of 28 runners on the day who can all now say they are London Marathon finishers.
We want to send our biggest congratulations and thanks to our entire running team who combined to raise alomost £70,000 for our work.
On a record-breaking year for London in both runners starting and finishing the race, along with a record-breaking crowd, our amazing team of fundraisers came from all over the UK and beyond. The landmark achievement crowned a record-breaking day of running, racing and charity fundraising in the British capital. Read more.
Many runners we had maximised their fundraising and went above and beyond their pledge, finding match funding, large gifts and encouraging Gift Aid. These funds are crucial for Able Child and the Able Child Africa Network to deliver our impactful change for children with disabilities in Africa.
For this reason, the Able Child cheering squad once again brought the noise at the Mile 23 mark for every runner who came through. We could not ask for a better group of fundraisers.

Inclusivity at the core of 2025
The Swiss sensation Marcel Hug continued his dominance of the elite men’s wheelchair race as he made it five wins in a row at the 2025 TCS London Marathon. Similarly, Catherine Debrunner thrived in the near-perfect conditions for the wheelchair athletes as she set a new course record to claim her third TCS London Marathon title.
This year’s London Marathon was also the most inclusive yet with more than 1,500 people with a disability registered to take part this year following accessibility initiatives. The mass field includes eight Paralympic athletes from multiple sports with Paris 2024 swimming gold medallist Tully Kearney making marathon debut. Read more.
