Cat Carter has spent the last ten years working in conflict and emergency responses around the world.
A specialist in safeguarding children in conflict and natural disasters, Cat is Save the Children International’s Head of Humanitarian Safeguarding and has travelled extensively responding to conflict.
Cat graduated from the University of Sussex with a BA in Anthropology and International Relations and is a visiting Lecturer at Durham University on their MSc Defence, Development and Diplomacy programme. Cat is currently studying for her MSc in International Criminal Justice and Criminal Psychology; is a TEDx speaker (focusing on aid worker mental health), and in 2015 she was awarded a British Empire Medal for Humanitarian Services.
